Ο Τιτανικός (επίσημο όνομα:RMS Titanic) ήταν Βρετανικό επιβατηγό υπερωκεάνιο. Βυθίστηκε στον Βόρειο Ατλαντικό Ωκεανό στις 15 Απριλίου 1912 μετά από σύγκρουση με ένα παγόβουνο. Το πλοίο εκτελούσε το παρθενικό ταξίδι του από το Σαουθάμπτον προς τη Νέα Υόρκη. Η βύθισή του προκάλεσε τον θάνατο πάνω από 1.500 ατόμων και αποτέλεσε ένα από τα πιο θανατηφόρα ναυτικά δυστυχήματα σε καιρό ειρήνης στη σύγχρονη ιστορία.

Academy is back with another kit of the RMS Titanic, this time in 1/1000 scale. This new-tool gem is molded in multi-color plastic (MCP) and comes very close to being buildable without painting. The kit is molded in four different colors plus one tree of brass-plated plastic and presented on seven parts trees plus the bow and stern decks, lower hull, upper hull, and superstructure.
The box indicates that Academy has engineered an intuitive build kit and looking through the instructions, there are no surprises and looking at the parts, you could almost build this kit without the instructions. The layout of the assemblies are very intuitive and the pre-colored parts don't leave many areas needing paint. The kit also has a display stand included.
This kit is suited for the less-experienced modeler who can work with basic modeling tools (hobby knife, file, glue).
